FAQs
What kind of things does supermassive make?
We primarily make physical scale models. Small versions of big things, usually in the realms of architecture, real estate and development worlds. We also make signs, parts, and art objects to support other artists and designers’ projects.
What tools do you use?
We have diode and CO2 laser cutters, resin and filament 3D printers, and use standard shop tools like power saws, drills, knives, etc.
What materials can you laser cut?
We can laser cut a wide range of materials like wood, acrylic paper, cloth, stone, rubbers, and more. We can engrave and etch the surface of even more materials like metals, glass, ceramics.
Is there anything you cannot cut?
PVCs and most plastics are not safe to laser cut, as they emit harmful, toxic fumes.
How long to projects take?
It fully depends on the project complexity. We can turnaround some projects in a week, other large scale jobs we work on for months. Please email us so we can get a better idea of your project.
